In the Sviatoshynskyi district of Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained a man who threatened to blow up a grenade in an apartment building. This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine, UNN reports.

Recently, Kyiv police received a report from a local resident that a man was threatening to detonate a grenade in the common corridor of an apartment building.

Police officers of the Special Police Regiment No. 1, the investigative team of the district police department and employees of the explosive service immediately arrived at the scene.
It turned out that the attacker was the applicant's 45-year-old neighbor. The police seized an F-1 grenade with a fuse from the defendant, and during the search of his apartment they found more than 100 rounds of ammunition of various calibers.
The police detained the offender in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Information on the origin of the ammunition is currently being established. For the duration of the pre-trial investigation, the court imposed a pre-trial restraint on the suspect - detention. The offender may face three to eight years in prison
It was established that a conflict arose between neighbors on domestic grounds and the man decided to settle it with threats of ammunition.

Investigators under the supervision of the Sviatoshyno District Prosecutor's Office served the man a notice of suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 1 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives.
