The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has created a special structure, whose main goal will be to will be to provide comprehensive support for the process of continuous integration of the F-16 into the overall system of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Defense Oleksandr Pavliuk on his Facebook account, UNN reports.

According to information, the program will have two stages of deployment:
1. "Fast track", scheduled for completion by the end of 2024.

Among the main areas of work include:
- support and development of airfield infrastructure (air bases);
- comprehensive protection of airfield infrastructure, including air defense system;
- selection and training of flight crews and other aviation personnel;
- support for the life cycle of aircraft and logistics aircraft life cycle support and logistics support;
- international communication and other legal, financial, security and administrative functions.
Oleksandr Pavliuk also added that the development of the tactical aviation capabilities of the Air Force of Ukraine, and at the same time with the rearmament of aviation brigades, is one of the key priorities.
