Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation detained a law enforcement officer and two other "authorities" who harassed a girl and beat her boyfriend in a Poltava restaurant. This was reported by UNN with reference to the press service of the SBI.

The SBI reportedly detained three people involved in the beating of a Kyiv resident in a Poltava restaurant. The criminal proceedings were opened by the National Police and transferred to the State Bureau of Investigation on November 7.
On November 2, 2024, the police responded to a call to an entertainment venue where unknown persons had beaten a guy. The victim's girlfriend said on social media that the beaten boyfriend stood up for her because men at a neighboring table began to harass her. The victim was taken to the hospital with a concussion, a broken nose and other bruises
The investigation revealed that the perpetrators of the hooliganism included a local law enforcement officer and a well-known Poltava businessman with a criminal record, as well as his assistant.
The issue of serving them with a notice of suspicion of hooliganism committed by a group of persons (Part 2 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) is currently being decided. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of restriction of liberty for up to five years or imprisonment for up to four years.

In Poltava, a conflictoccurred between visitors to a restaurant , which resulted in one of the men being injured. The police officer who was at the scene during the conflict was suspended from duty for the duration of the internal investigation.
