The head of Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergei Naryshkin, and his delegation paid a three-day business visit to North Korea to discuss strengthening cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang. This was reported by the Korean Central News Agency, UNN reports.

As part of the visit, which lasted from March 25 to 27, Naryshkin met with DPRK Minister of State Security Lee Chang-dae. The two "discussed business issues on further strengthening cooperation in response to increased espionage and intrigue by hostile forces.
The publication noted that the meeting was held in a "friendly and cordial atmosphere," and the parties reached a common position on the issues raised.
During the talks, the two sides briefed each other on their views of the current international and regional situation regarding the Korean Peninsula and Russia, and discussed in depth practical issues to further strengthen cooperation in combating the ever-increasing espionage and conspiracy activities of hostile forces
