"We know that if we are weak to authoritarian regimes, we put the international order at risk and send a very dangerous signal of vulnerability to the rest of the world," said European Council President Charles Michel, arriving at the EPC summit in Budapest.
"I have faith in American society," he added, "Americans know that it is in their interest to be firm in dealing with authoritarian regimes. If the United States is weak towards Russia, what does that mean for China?
