More than $700 million has been allocated by international partners for humanitarian demining projects in Ukraine for 2022-2027, the Ministry of Economy reported on April 4, UNN reports.

"Ukraine's international partners have allocated more than USD 700 million in equivalent for humanitarian demining projects for 2022-2027. The key donors include the United States, Switzerland, Norway, EU countries, Japan, the Netherlands, Germany and others," the ministry said.
The government will reportedly strengthen coordination of mine action with the international and professional community. "Such coordination will be carried out both through the sectoral working group launched in 2023, which brings together all donors of Ukraine in this area, and through the mine action cluster, which was restored in March 2024 and is a platform for programmatic coordination of relevant actors," the Ministry of Economy said.

According to the Ministry of Economy, there have been 656 mine-related accidents since the start of the large-scale invasion. The explosions killed 296 civilians and injured 665 others.
