The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is actively working to implement a new procurement architecture that will make any corruption schemes impossible. This was stated by Deputy Defense Minister Dmytro Klimenkov during his speech at the All-Ukrainian Anti-Corruption Forum "Integrity is the Future of Ukrainian Statehood", UNN reports.
We coordinate our work with the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption. That is why we have created the Office for Integrity Policy Formation in the Security and Defense Sector. Also, our two agencies (logistics and armaments) are already fully operational. We have launched the Procurement Policy Department. It will coordinate the financial activities of the Agencies and develop regulations. We are building a new procurement architecture without any possibility for corruption schemes
The Deputy Minister emphasized that the Ministry of Defense is implementing the State Anti-Corruption Program. In particular, certain changes are already being prepared together with the NAPC to take into account a number of security factors. They are related to the fact that the Ministry of Defense cannot openly purchase weapons.
