The Obolon Prosecutor's Office in Kyiv has notified a 48-year-old man of suspicion of raping his 22-year-old stepdaughter, who has congenital mental disorders and is unable to realize the consequences of her actions. After a medical examination, it became known that the girl was six months pregnant and later gave birth to a child.
The examination confirmed that the child's father was the girl's mother's partner, who had been living with the family since 2019 and occasionally looked after his stepdaughter. It turned out that he was abusing her condition by having sexual relations with her.
The family abandoned the newborn girl. The suspect was chosen a measure of restraint in the form of detention. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for up to 10 years.
