Preliminary data indicate that the 51-year-old driver of a Peugeot, who was in a state of intoxication, hit a 72-year-old man on a pedestrian crossing.
The victim sustained serious injuries and was taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
After the accident, the driver fled the scene, but he was arrested and wanted. Law enforcement agencies are currently investigating to establish all the circumstances of the accident.
