At the Deaflympics 2023 in Erzurum, Turkey 🇹🇷, our team won 19 awards and became the first in the medal standings! The second place went to the Chinese team with 7 gold medals, and the third place went to the Austrian team with 6 gold medals
In total, Ukraine won 10 gold medals, 5 silver and 4 bronze medals.

It is noted that on the final day of the competition, Ukrainian women won a gold medal in chess. The composition of the champion team Ukraine-1: Tetiana Baklanova, Natalia Myronenko and Svitlana Honchar.
Overall, Ukraine's chess team took second place among the countries participating in the chess battles.

The Ministry adds that Ukrainian Deaflympians have more than doubled the gold medal result of the previous Deaflympics - 2019, which were historic in terms of medals (4 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze).
Also, for the first time, Ukrainian athletes with hearing impairments took first place in cross-country skiing and curling.
