Russian troops continue to try to force Ukrainian troops from the left bank of the Dnipro River, launching 18 unsuccessful attacks and suffering significant losses.
The enemy does not abandon its intention to drive our units out of the footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro, UNN reports, citing the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, in the area of responsibility of the Odesa Joint Forces Operation in the Kherson sector, Novokaira, Veletynske and Kherson in the Kherson region were subjected to enemy artillery shelling.
The enemy does not abandon its intention to drive our units out of the footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Thus, during the day, the enemy carried out 18 unsuccessful assault operations, but Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold their positions and inflict significant losses on the enemy, the statement said.
