Details

On April 8, a new stage of training for mobilized medics at the Military Medical Academy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will begin, which includes the awarding of officer ranks according to an updated method.

According to the order of the Commander of the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, all medical workers who do not have a military education will be able to become officers under a simplified procedure.

For the first time, future participants will have the opportunity to obtain an officer's rank without spending 40 days at the academy, and will be able to complete the theoretical part online and the practical part (18 days) in person.

If there are recommendations from the unit's command, mobilized doctors will be able to receive the rank of junior lieutenant and return to their unit in a more appropriate position.

Recall

Civilian doctors who may be fit for military service but do not have a military education can apply to military departments of medical universities. There, they will be able to study for 4 months on an individual schedule and receive a military medical education, as well as receive an officer's rank.
