A rabies-infected cat bit two people in the village of Omelnyk, Kremenchuk district. There are 12 villages in the Omelnyk community at risk of spreading the disease. This territory has been declared a "threatened area" and free rabies vaccinations are being provided for animals there. This was told by the head of the Poltava Regional State Administration Philip Pronin, reports UNN.

The threatened area of the disadvantaged point includes the villages of Omelnyk, Varakuty, Gunky, Demydivka, Zapsil, Kramarenky, Lytvynenky, Pustovity, Radochyny, Stepanivka, Fedorenky, Yaremivka of the Omelnyk community. Currently, free rabies vaccinations are being provided to animals in these settlements.
