Ihnat commented on the night attack of Russian troops with ballistic missiles

Last night, during the Russian attack on Kyiv, an air alert was announced after explosions. The spokesman for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ihnat, explained during a telethon that this happened because ballistic missiles have a high speed, UNN reports.

This is not the first time that the alarm has been activated simultaneously with explosions. The enemy carefully plans its ballistic missile launch operations. You see it in the south. You see it in the east all the time. They launch from Crimea, from the Dzhankoy area, and from the occupied territories. The distance is very short. The speed of the missile is high. Sometimes it takes less than a minute for the missile to hit,

explained Ihnat.

Details

According to Ihnat, a lot depends on intelligence. When there is information about the movement of enemy installations, a preventive alert is announced "threat of ballistic missile use". However, when the Russians are preparing more effectively and there is no information about possible launches, then there are situations when the alarm is announced after the first explosions.

The spokesman also noted that it is not yet known what kind of ballistic missiles were used last night. Experts are currently examining the wreckage of the downed missiles to determine their type.

To recap,
