The head of Ukraine's military intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, said that Russians are not protesting mobilization because of the lack of work and because they are "slaves," and that most Russians have no other option but to join the armed forces.

Kirill Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, gave two reasons why Russians do not protest against mobilization. The first is because of the lack of work in the country, and the second is because people in Russia are slaves. He said this on the air of the TV channel "We are Ukraine", reports UNN.

"A number of experts have said this. I am cautious about this, and I recommend it to you. Why didn't it happen? There are two reasons. The first is moral: Russia is a country of slaves. The second is that everyone is now making money on this. Most Russians have no other job but to join the armed forces. This is the reality," said the head of the DIU, answering the question of why Russians do not go to rallies against mobilization.

Prior to that, Budanov commented on the proposal to exchange the Russian town of Tiotkino for Melitopol.

The day before, a member of the Russian Legion said that they were willing to make an exchange: Russian volunteers would give up the village of Tiotkino in Kursk Oblast in exchange for the liberation of Melitopol.

"I have heard and seen this fact. I would love to, but we'll see how it goes. I think it's too early for that," Budanov commented.
