A former senior official of the Ministry of Justice who had been granted russian citizenship was dismissed in 2021 after the SBU exposed her, and the court upheld her dismissal despite an appeal.
A court has recognized the russian citizenship of a former top official of the Ministry of Justice, who was exposed by the SBU. UNN writes about this with reference to the report of the Security Service.
Details
It is noted that the court recognized the dismissal from the Ministry of Justice of a former top official of this department, who has russian citizenship, as legal. The decision was defended in the Administrative Court of Appeal by current representatives of the Ministry of Justice.
This is a former deputy head of the Central Interregional Department of the Ministry of Justice, who on her own initiative obtained russian citizenship. The SBU documented this fact and informed the leadership of the relevant ministry to make a decision
Based on the materials received from the Ukrainian secret service, the official was dismissed from her position in 2021. She subsequently decided to appeal this decision, citing a certificate from the "Main Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the city of moscow." This document stated that she allegedly did not have a russian passport.
However, after reviewing the SBU's evidence base, the panel of the Ukrainian court dismissed the former official's complaint. Representatives of the Security Service proved the nullity of the documents issued by the aggressor state on her alleged lack of russian citizenship. In addition, the special service proved that the plaintiff had not traveled to Bulgaria, where, according to her, she allegedly received the relevant russian documents
The former official may now appeal this decision to the Supreme Court.
