Due to Russian missile strikes that damaged power plants, Ukraine is experiencing electricity shortages and has been receiving emergency assistance from international partners for the third day in a row, while electricity consumption in the country continues to grow.

Due to the shortage of electricity , Ukraine has been receiving emergency aid from international partners for three days in a row. At the same time, electricity consumption in the country is growing. This was reported by Ukrenergo, UNN reports.

Details

The agency explained that throughout the day, the power grid has been experiencing a shortage of electricity. Due to the damage caused by Russian missile strikes, power plants cannot generate enough electricity to cover all consumer needs.

Nevertheless, today's consumption is higher than yesterday.

At 09:30 today, consumption is 10% higher than yesterday's level at the same time.

- Ukrenergo said.

The company called on Ukrainians to conserve electricity. It is noted that yesterday, April 23, due to the schedules of power restrictions for business and industry  , during the evening peak at 21:00, consumption was 3.5% lower than on April 22.

The company added that today consumption restrictions are in effect in the Kharkiv region. In the morning, about 207 thousand household consumers were cut off.

Consumption for industry in Kryvyi Rih is also limited around the clock.
