The weather caused a power outage in 130 settlements in 3 regions of Ukraine, including a mine with 135 employees underground in Donetsk Oblast, which has now been brought to the surface, and 2,500 consumers in 19 settlements in Chernihiv Oblast due to shelling.

This was reported on Tuesday by the Ministry of Energy and the State Emergency Service, UNN reports.

"Due to network restrictions on the transmission system operator's lines, outage schedules were applied in Kharkiv region, and the restrictions are still in effect today," the Ministry of Energy noted.
During the evening peak hours, as indicated, there was an emergency supply of electricity from Romania and Poland.
Consequences of bad weather
According to the State Emergency Service, as of 7:00 a.m., 130 settlements in 3 regions were without power due to deteriorating weather conditions (wind gusts and rain) (Dnipropetrovsk region - 101, Kirovohrad region - 20, Kyiv region - 9).
"In the evening, a high-voltage line in Dnipropetrovs'k region was disconnected due to bad weather. The line was promptly reconnected," the Energy Ministry said.
Also, due to a thunderstorm and squally winds, equipment at a high-voltage substation in Kryvyi Rih was disconnected, 145,000 household consumers, industry, and part of the city's infrastructure were cut off. In the evening, the consumers were reconnected, the agency said.

The bad weather also reportedly cut off an overhead power line in Donetsk region, and cut off power to household consumers and a mine (135 workers were brought to the surface).
Consequences of shelling
During the day Chernihiv region was shelled. Overhead power lines were cut off, 2,500 consumers in 19 settlements were disconnected, the Ministry of Energy said.

"There is enough water in the cooling pond. All units of the temporarily occupied plant are in a state of "cold shutdown," the Ministry of Energy said.
