On July 17, the traditional annual HR Wisdom Summit was held in Kyiv (DTEK Academy) to award the best employers in Ukraine.

The EVA chain of stores was included in the list of 50 winners of the ratingcompiled by the publication “TOP 100. Ratings of the largest”, which was determined by an expert jury. The list includes companies from various industries: retail, banking, telecommunications, IT, logistics and transportation, pharmaceuticals, metallurgy, etc. These are recognized industry leaders who do not just take care of jobs, but create real places of power, actively build and promote their powerful employer brand.

The editorial board of the magazine “TOP 100. Ratings of the Largest” magazine and the delo.ua business portal also awarded some participants in separate nominations, recognizing companies for the best corporate culture, best employee welfare programs, best anti-crisis HR management, best corporate educational and mental health programs, etc. EVA received an award in the special nomination “Effective Management Solutions”.

At the event, the company was represented by Inna Pecherytsia, HRD of the EVA chain, who dedicated her speech at the HR Wisdom Summit to the opening of the new EVA BEAUTY store. She said that when opening the store, the HR department abandoned the standard way - to select the best retail employees and launch a new format with them. “We consciously decided to break the standard HR schemes and do something new. For example, we have moved away from looking for people who have experience in working with goods in our field,”said Inna Pecherytsia. Instead, preference was given to non-standard personalities who show a creative approach to work. In order to unleash the potential of these employees, the new format abandoned the strict service standards inherent in regular EVA stores.

“We realized that even if we created new service standards, these people would not be able to work according to them. They are just so free that it is impossible to manage them in this format. So we gave them more freedom, saying only that the client should feel their service and expertise in any case,”explained HRD. Inna Pecherytsia also noted that working in such communication with staff is not easy yet, but the company sees it as an opportunity to develop itself and its approach.

“The ability to solve non-standard tasks in a non-standard way is, at least to some extent, the secret of our managerial efficiency. Therefore, I believe that the special award we received is one hundred percent in line with the essence of the EVA BEAUTY project, which is currently one of our -great achievements. Also, against the backdrop of the difficult situation in the labor market, which we, as a large employer, of course, also feel, we just wanted to share something positive, life-affirming, and inspiring with the guests of the event.
