Harvest 2023: Ukraine harvested almost 77 million tons of grains and oilseeds

In 2023, Ukraine harvested nearly 77 million tons of grains and oilseeds, with the highest yields in Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv regions. The harvest included 56.3 million tons of grains and 20.7 million tons of oilseeds.

As of the last day of autumn, Ukrainian farmers have harvested almost 77 million tons of new crops: 56 million 254.2 thousand tons of grain and - 20 million 719 thousand tons.
According to the of the main agricultural agency of the country, the top five leaders this year are agrarians of Vinnytsia region, Kyiv, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv regions. They have already completed the harvest.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy noted that the harvest of grain and legumes was carried out on an area of 10,354 thousand hectares with a yield of 54.3 c/ha, in particular:
- corn 3 million 441 thousand hectares were threshed with a yield of 75.8 c/ha, 26 million 79 thousand tons;
- wheat 4,694.5 thousand hectares were threshed, with a yield of 47.9 c/ha, and 22 million 478 thousand tons;
- barley 1,504.5 thousand hectares were threshed with a yield of 39.3 c/ha, 5 million 909 thousand tons were harvested. tons;
- peas 154.4 thousand hectares were harvested with a yield of 25.9 c/ha, with a harvest of 399.5 thousand tons;
- buckwheat 139.7 thousand hectares were threshed with a yield of 14.8 c/ha, harvested 207.4 thousand tons;
- millet 79.5 thou hectares harvested with a yield of 22.6 c/ha, 180 thou tons harvested;
- other grain and leguminous crops - 340.1 thou hectares were threshed, 1 002 thousand tons.
The most productive farmers were recognized The agrarians of Vinnytsia region are recognized as the most productive. They harvested more than 5 million tons of grain during this harvest. Their colleagues from Poltava and Cherkasy regions are slightly behind them. In these regions agricultural producers have harvested 4 million tons of grain this season.
Oilseeds were harvested on an area of crops were harvested on an area of 8,213 thousand hectares, namely:
- sunflower threshed on an area of 5,012.3 thou hectares, harvesting 11 mln 936 thou tons of seeds at a yield of 23.8 c/ha;
- soybeans were harvested on an area of 1 804.2 thou hectares, harvested 4 mln 778 thou tons with a yield of 26.5 c/ha.
- rapeseed threshed on an area of 1,396 thou hectares, harvested 4 mln 5 thou tons of seeds at yielding 28.7 c/ha. The harvest is complete.
The Ministry of Agriculture also calculated the data on sugar beet harvesting. So, according to their reports 11 million 332.6 thousand tons of sweet roots were harvested with a yield of 468.1 c/ha. The area sown for sugar beet this year amounted to 242.1 thousand hectares.
