HCJ authorizes arrest of Appeal Court judge Dziubin: suspected of bribery

The High Council of Justice has approved the arrest of Kyiv Court of Appeal judge Vyacheslav Dzyubin, who, along with three other judges, is suspected of bribery. His lawyers claim that he was absent from the hearing due to his hospitalization.

The High Council of Justice granted the motion of Deputy Prosecutor General - Head of the SAPO Oleksandr Klymenko to grant consent to the detention of  Kyiv Court of Appeal judge Vyacheslav Dzyubin, who is suspected of taking a bribe, reports UNN.

Thus, at the meeting, the HCJ granted the motion of the Deputy Prosecutor General - Head of the SAPO Oleksandr Klymenko to apply a preventive measure to Dziubin in the form of detention.

Dziubin's lawyers stated that Dziubin was not present at the HCJ meeting because he was undergoing hospitalization.

Addendum

Four judges of the Kyiv Court of Appeal, who were caught taking bribes to lift the seizure of property from a private company, were served with suspicion notices.

As UNN has learned from its own sources, these are Yuriy Slyva, Viktor Hlynianyi, Ihor Palenyk and Viacheslav Dziubin.
