The Kusum Group of Pharmaceutical Companies provided significant support to Ukraine during the war, including the transfer of medicines, humanitarian aid, vehicles and other assistance to the military, hospitals and civilians worth more than UAH 170 million.

Conscious citizens are the pride of the nation. And a conscious business is the way to bring our victory closer. And one of these conscious businesses is the Kusum group of pharmaceutical companies (which includes Gledfarm LTD), which, despite the difficult times of today, does not stop its work, but, on the contrary, increases production to help Ukrainian medical institutions, the military and volunteers, UNN reports.

Even before the full-scale invasion began, Kusum forces were repairing civilian shelters and actively combating false information about the situation in Ukraine in the international information space.

From the first days of the full-scale invasion to the present day, the Kusum Group of Pharmaceutical Companies has been providing specialized support to medical institutions with medicines. The total value of the provided medicines is over UAH 40 million. More than 400 hospitals and non-profit organizations have already received the necessary medicines, which were often delivered in extremely difficult conditions, even during hostilities and shelling.

In addition to pharmaceutical aid and information support, the company helped rescue 750 foreign students from Sumy. At that time, the city was completely surrounded and under blockade. For more than 20 days, the company provided uninterrupted supply of drinking water and food, and at the first opportunity, the students were evacuated and transported to safer regions of Ukraine.

In the first days of the full-scale invasion, in 2022, the Kusum Group of Pharmaceutical Companies transferred UAH 11 million to the NBU accounts for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In addition, with the active participation of the company and the assistance of the Embassy of Ukraine in India, the Embassy of India in Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Indian Air Force, 25 tons of humanitarian aid worth about UAH 52 million were collected in the first weeks of the war. The aid was delivered by Indian Air Force planes to Warsaw, from where it was delivered to Ukraine. Today, this humanitarian aid has become a regular event and is delivered several times a year and distributed to the military, hospitals, healthcare facilities, etc.

New challenges - new solutions

Every day, the assistance to the military from the Kusum group of pharmaceutical companies only increased.

In May 2022, the company donated 20 service vehicles to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, Kusum made a second delivery of humanitarian aid from India to Ukraine worth a total of USD 900 thousand.

Starting in the fall of 2022, when enemy attacks left Ukrainian cities without electricity, the company found a way to help the population. In the shortest possible time, hundreds of elevators in apartment buildings and civilian facilities were equipped with "invincibility boxes" containing drinking water, food, and basic medicines.

At the same time, the company raised funds for CELOX hemostatic wipes for the Armed Forces and donated sets of warm clothing, thermal clothing and stoves to the front line. Subsequently, portable power plants were purchased for the needs of the Security Service of Ukraine.

Life despite the war

And, of course, in addition to all-out assistance to the military, Kusum makes an important contribution to the lives of civilians. In 2023, with the company's assistance, a cozy square was arranged in Kyiv, and later an entire park was built where everyone can relax.

To date, Kusum's assistance to Ukraine has already amounted to more than UAH 170 million, but the company is not stopping there. "Kusum is working for Ukraine's victory by providing jobs and supporting our soldiers, people affected by Russian aggression and civilians.

The company's contribution to our struggle was highly appreciated and recognized by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with the Award for Merit to the Ukrainian People and the Award from the President of Ukraine.

The Kusum Group of Pharmaceutical Companies has become a true model of conscious Ukrainian business and an example to follow. And if every citizen and business representative makes their contribution, our victory will be one step closer!
