Details

During the Ukrainian delegation's visit to Iceland, meetings were held at all levels with representatives of the government and parliament. This contributed to the development and introduction by the Icelandic government of a five-year plan to support Ukraine.

We spent several days in the capital of Iceland, Reykjavik. Our parliamentary delegation, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Office of the Ombudsman of Ukraine held meetings at all levels: in the parliament with speakers, representatives of all factions, and the Foreign Affairs Committee, as well as with the Prime Minister, members of the government, and the President of Iceland. It was during our visit that the government introduced a five-year plan to support Ukraine to the parliament. We discussed with members of the government and parliament how this document could be further strengthened, filled with more specifics and support mechanisms

 - said Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation Arseniy Pushkarenko.

This plan provides for a wide range of measures to support Ukraine, in particular in the context of its accession to NATO and the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula.
