After seven-day truce, IDF resumes operations against Hamas in Gaza after breaking operational pause
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported on Friday, December 1, that it had resumed hostilities against the Palestinian Islamist organization Hamas in the Gaza Strip after Hamas violated an operational pause amid the end of a seven-day truce, UNN reports .

Hamas and Israel agreed on Thursday to extend the ceasefire for another 24 hours. Shortly before the end of this period, the Israeli military reported that air raid sirens had been set off in a kibbutz near Gaza.
Under the ceasefire, Hamas released some hostages every day, and Israel released Palestinian prisoners.
The fighting began after Hamas launched a large-scale attack on Israel on October 7. About 1200 victims and 240 abductees were reported in Israel. In the Hamas-ruled enclave, more than 15,000 casualties were reported in Gaza.
