Law enforcement agencies are investigating the legality of MP Vitaliy Bort's travel abroad. A pre-trial investigation into the fact of committing forgery has been launched.

Law enforcers are investigating the legality of MP Vitaliy Bort's travel abroad. This was reported by UNN with reference to the Office of the Prosecutor General.

As it became known to UNN from its own sources, it is about Vitaliy Bort, a member of the banned OPFL party.

On October 27, 2023, the Prosecutor General entered information into the URPTI and initiated a pre-trial investigation into the fact of committing forgery by a People's Deputy of Ukraine of the IX convocation (Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)

It is reported that, according to the investigation, the MP traveled abroad twice, allegedly for the purpose of a business trip to a European Union country in April and July 2023.

"Currently, investigative actions are underway in the criminal proceedings to establish the facts of the MP's stay abroad in different countries of the world beyond the period of his business trips," the Prosecutor General's Office informs.

"Schemes" (Radio Liberty) reportedthat Vitaliy Bort, a 51-year-old MP elected from the now-banned OPFL, went abroad on three-day business trips in April and July 2023 with the approval of the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, but both times did not return on time and stayed outside Ukraine for another month.
