Media: 137 people remain hostages of Hamas

Israel claims that 137 hostages are still being held in the Gaza Strip. Israeli government spokesperson Eilon Levy described the hostages in detail, noting in particular that they include: 20 women and two children, as well as 11 foreign nationals.

According to the the Israeli Coordination Center for Missing and Abducted Persons. and Abductees, 137 hostages remain in the Gaza Strip, including eleven foreigners. This is reported by UNN with reference to Tagesschau and Times of Israel.

Among the people still in captivity after the end of the ceasefire on Friday 1 December, there are 115 men, 20 women and two children. This was reported by the Israeli coordination centre. The information was also confirmed by government spokesman Eilon Levy, who said that ten of the hostages are 75 years old or older; the majority, or 126, are Israelis, and 11 are foreign nationals, including eight people from Thailand.

Among the abductees Levy names the youngest hostage, 10-month-old Kfir Bibas, his 4-year-old brother Ariel and their mother Shiri. The military said it was investigating a Hamas claim that the boys and their mother were killed.

Earlier it became that Hamas released more than 100 hostages as part of the deal. In return. Israel released 240 Palestinian prisoners from prisons.
