Ministry of Energy: two TPP units are under emergency repair

Ukraine is not experiencing any electricity supply constraints, as production meets consumer demand, only two TPP units are undergoing short-term repairs, and import and export operations continue.

Despite the bad weather in Ukraine, electricity restrictions  are not applied in any of the regions. This was stated by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, reports UNN.

The ministry emphasizes that electricity generation is fully sufficient to cover the needs of consumers. 

Generation and consumption

The Ministry emphasizes that the energy system is balanced. No electricity deficit was recorded yesterday and is not expected for the current day.

The electricity generated by our power plants is fully sufficient to cover the needs of consumers. Two TPP units are under emergency short-term repair. There is also a reserve that can be used if necessary 

- the Ministry of Energy said.

In addition, repairs are underway on the main line damaged by shelling the day before.

"No restrictions on electricity supply in Kyiv and the region were applied because of this," the Energy Ministry emphasized. 

Grid conditions 

A transformer caught fire at one of the substations of the transmission system operator Ukrenergo in Dnipropetrovs'k region. The fire was extinguished in a few hours. 

Import/export 

As of today, there are up to 380 MW of electricity imports and 270 MW of electricity exports

Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, the Chairman of the Board of NPC Ukrenergo, said that two main high-voltage power lines that were damaged by the Shaheda attacks last night have resumed their work and are operating normally.
