The head of the Pokrovskaya MBA reported on preparations for blocking certain areas of the city. Almost 12 remain in the city thousand residents, including 55 children.
Pokrovsk in Donetsk region will be completely blocked for entry and exit. The Ukrainian side is already blocking the outskirts of the city. This was stated by the head of the Pokrovsk city military administration Sergey Dobryak during a telethon, UNN reports.
Dobryak said that the Russian occupiers are already 6.7 km from one of the outskirts of Pokrovsk.
He noted that since 2022, work has been underway to build fortifications around the Pokrovska community.
"A combat brigade has been assigned to our city. It is very powerful, thanks to the engineers who developed the city's defense plan. We urge people to evacuate, because the city will be completely blocked for entry and exit from neighborhoods, streets, etc. We are already blocking the outskirts of the city. That is, we do not stop building fortifications," said Dobryak.
He wrote on Facebook that several echelons have already been built in the city, which will partially block the streets and neighborhoods of Pokrovsk.
He also said that as of today, there are still 11,900 people and 55 children in Pokrovsk who continue to receive humanitarian aid, social, administrative and medical services.

According to him, certain sections of the city will be blocked in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region.
