The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has decided to recall more than 50 ambassadors and more than a dozen ambassadorial candidates, replacing diplomatic personnel appointed by the previous government to better cope with the complex challenges facing Polish foreign policy.

Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski has decided to terminate the missions of more than 50 ambassadors and withdraw more than a dozen candidates submitted for approval by the previous leadership of the Ministry.
The ministry explained the need to replace the heads of Polish embassies by saying that this "serves the purpose of better, professional realization of the complex challenges facing Polish foreign policy today.
The MFA also hopes that the key authorities in the country will work together on this issue.
