The Polish Armed Forces observed intense Russian aviation activity related to air and missile strikes on Ukraine, which prompted security measures and the deployment of Polish and allied aircraft, which was later suspended due to the lowered threat level.

During the massive attack of Russian troops on Ukraine, Polish and allied military aircraft were raised in Poland for several hours. This was reported on Thursday by the Operational Command of the country's armed forces, UNN writes.

As reported by the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces at 4:22 a.m., last night they observed "intense activity of long-range aviation of the Russian Federation related to the launch of air and missile strikes on objects located on the territory of Ukraine.

It was stated that "all necessary procedures to ensure the security of Poland's airspace" had been launched, and the country's Joint Chiefs of Staff were monitoring the situation on a regular basis.

"Polish and allied planes were involved," the command said, adding that it could have been noisy, especially in the southeastern part of the country.

Already at 7:10 a.m., the command reported that "due to the reduction of the threat level, the operations of Polish and allied aircraft in Polish airspace have been suspended, and the deployed forces and assets have returned to standard operational activities." At the same time, it was pointed out that the Polish Armed Forces are constantly monitoring the situation on the territory of Ukraine and are in constant readiness to ensure the security of Polish airspace.
