Polish protesters resume blocking the road at Dorohusk checkpoint

In the evening of December 11, Polish protesters resumed blocking the road near the Dorohusk checkpoint, led by the leader of the Confederation party, Rafał Miekler. Police arrived with batons and shields, but no clashes occurred.

Polish protesters on the evening of December 11 again blocked the road near the Dorohusk checkpoint after it was unblocked during the day. The organizer of the action, the leader of the Confederation party in the Lublin Voivodeship, Rafal Mekler, reports UNN REPORTS.

According to him, "it will be a long night". The road was blocked by an allegedly faulty truck with a protest banner.

According to published videos, in response to attempts to to block the road with trucks, police arrived at the scene with batons and and shields. No clashes between the parties were reported.

Context

On Monday, December 11, the head of the Dorohusk Commune, Wojciech Sawa withdrew the permission for the protest of carriers at the border. After that, the protesters arbitrarily left the place of blocking and announced that they would appeal the decision of the community head. In turn, the Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure and the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported that the unblocking of truck traffic.
