"On the night of August 24, 2024, Russian Tu-22M3 long-range bombers attacked southern Ukraine, firing four X-22 cruise missiles into the area of Zmeinyi Island," the Ukrainian Air Force said in a Telegram post, citing data from the South Air Command.
The enemy also reportedly struck Kherson region with precision-guided bombs.
Over the past day, on August 23, the air defense of southern Ukraine reportedly destroyed five reconnaissance UAVs, including two ZALAs and one each of Supercam, Orlan-10, and Merlin, as well as two Lancet strike UAVs.
