Russia reports shooting down a balloon over Kursk region and three UAVs over Belgorod region

Russia reported the downing of a balloon over the Kursk region and three drones over the Belgorod region, claiming it was an attempted Ukrainian terrorist attack.

On Tuesday morning, April 16, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the downing of allegedly Ukrainian targets - a balloon over Kursk and three drones over Belgorod regions. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense, UNN reports .

At about 08:15 a.m. Russian time, the Russians "stopped an attempt by the Kyiv regime to launch a terrorist attack using a small balloon" against targets in Russia,

Details

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the balloon was destroyed by regular air defense systems over the territory of the Kursk region.

It is noted that almost an hour after the previous attack, the air defense shot down three more drones that allegedly tried to attack facilities in the Belgorod region.
