Russian shelling in Veletynske, Kherson region, killed a woman and injured another; a criminal case is opened.
The village of Veletynske in the Kherson region was hit by an enemy attack, and two people were trapped under the rubble - one woman was killed, the other was rescued and hospitalized. This was reported on Monday by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin, UNN reports.

According to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, the Russian army shelled one of the settlements of the Bilozerska community with artillery on January 1 at about 11:10 a.m.
"The body of the deceased 73-year-old woman was unblocked from the rubble. Her 50-year-old daughter was handed over to doctors with injuries," the prosecutor's office said.
A pre-trial investigation has been initiated in the criminal proceedings on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
