According to Pletenchuk, the Russian army has recently replenished its fleet with production in Tatarstan, where they are building a small missile ship of the Karakurt class
The Russian army is currently using the Cyclone small missile ship in Sevastopol as a cover for air defense. This was reported by the spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy Dmytro Pletenchuk, according to UNN.
"This is a small missile ship that is a missile carrier, but it is used as a cover for airspace at the point of basing... It has been two years since it was launched, but it still cannot pass the test," the spokesman said.
According to him, the Russian army has recently replenished its fleet with production in Tatarstan, where they are building a small missile ship of the Karakurt class:
"There were supposed to be five of them in the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation, three of them were being completed in Kerch: the Cyclone, which is now defending Sevastopol, the Amur and the Askold.
The latter, according to Dmytro Pletenchuk, is currently at the dock, probably undergoing repairs. The Amur ship is being tested in Novorossiysk and is not currently part of the fleet in full.
The spokesman also said that the Kalibr missiles manufactured in Russia have 40 to 60 foreign components.
"If we take any modern Russian ship, then apart from the iron in the hull, perhaps, and copper cables, there is nothing of our own, because all the microelectronics are foreign-made," added Pletenchuk.
