Samara Region Governor confirms drone attack on refinery

Two oil refineries in the Samara region, Russia, were attacked by drones, and one refinery caught fire, but no one was injured.

In the Samara region, Kuibyshev and Novokuibyshev oil refineries have been attacked by drones, Governor Dmitry Azarov said, UNN reports . The official confirmed that a primary oil processing column at the Kuibyshev refinery caught fire. No one was injured.

The attack on the Novokuibyshevsk refinery was repelled, the governor added. According to him, "no damage was done to the process equipment.

Russian refineries have been frequently attacked by drones since the beginning of the year. In March alone, the Nizhny Novgorod Refinery, Ryazan Refinery, Syzran Refinery, and Slavyansk Refinery were damaged.
