Several Russian units, including the 328th Regiment of the 104th Division of the Russian Armed Forces and the 345th Regiment of the same division, may have been involved in the shooting of unarmed Ukrainian prisoners of war near Krynky in Kherson region.

Currently, law enforcement officers are checking several Russian units for involvement in the shooting of unarmed Ukrainian prisoners of war near Krynky in Kherson region. Yuriy Belousov, head of the Department for Combating Crimes Committed in the Context of Armed Conflict of the Prosecutor General's Office, said this during a telethon, according to a correspondent of UNN.

Details

He pointed out that for the first time information about the killing of prisoners appeared on social media on April 6. It was posted by the Russians themselves.  The next day, an investigation was launched by the Main Department of the National Police and the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.

"During this time, some urgent investigative actions were taken. We searched open sources, gave instructions to the relevant units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to confirm the data of our deceased soldiers, to confirm the place," Belousov said.

He said that several Russian units are currently being checked for involvement in the crime.

"This was the first information about the possible involvement of the occupiers from the 328th Regiment of the 104th Division of the Russian Armed Forces. In the occupiers' Telegram channel, where this information was first published, the 345th regiment of the same division was mentioned. This means that at least two units of the 104th Division of the Russian Armed Forces are currently being checked. We are also checking other Russian units that could have been there at that time," he said.

Belousov also said that information about the military personnel who died is being checked. According to preliminary data, it happened near the village of Krynky, Kherson region.
