The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk met with the Speaker of the State Assembly of Slovenia Urška Klakočar-Zupančič to discuss defense support, sanctions against Russia and Slovenia's participation in the restoration of Ukraine.

During the meeting, Stefanchuk thanked Slovenia for helping Ukraine counter Russian armed aggression.

They discussed defense support. He emphasized the importance of the military assistance packages already provided by Slovenia to Ukraine. At the same time, the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine need additional military equipment. Outlined the urgent needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The parties also discussed sanctions against Russia. The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine emphasized that pressure on Russia should be continued to weaken its ability to finance the war.
