Claims of Concord Bank's second priority creditors are fully satisfied

The claims of creditors of Concorde Bank, which are included in the second stage of the register of accepted claims, have been satisfied in full. This is stated in the response of the Deposit Guarantee Fund to the request of UNN.

That is, the claims of 35 creditors in the amount of UAH 9.4 million were satisfied, which is 100% of the total amount of second-priority claims. Also, the DGF reported that a decision was made to satisfy the claims of creditors of the seventh priority in the amount of UAH 574 million, which corresponds to 100% of the claims of the priority.

"As of November 01, 2023, UAH 353 million was transferred to the creditors of the seventh priority. The remaining amount is deposited on the bank's accumulative account due to the absence of applications from creditors with correct details. Upon receipt of applications with the correct details, the funds will be transferred to the creditors," the Fund said.

Earlier, the DGF revised the volume of claims of the sixth, seventh and fourth stages. Thus, after the revision, the volumes of the sixth and seventh stages were increased to UAH 2,663,112.73 and UAH 573,988,377.69, respectively, and the amount of claims under the fourth stage was reduced to UAH 70,737,602.21. The revision of the sixth priority (claims of individuals) was, in particular, revised in connection with the identification of persons whose funds were stuck on transit accounts. UNN wrote about such cases, which, according to our information, numbered about two hundred. Among the people whose funds were stuck on transit accounts was a military man. People complained that despite the fact that they had applied to the DGF immediately after their funds were blocked, no one returned their money for a long time. After the situation was publicized in the media, the situation moved forward and people began to receive their money back.

At the same time, co-owner of Concord Bank Olena Sosiedka noted that at the time the regulator announced the decision to liquidate the bank, the financial institution had enough highly liquid assets to make all the necessary payments in 2-3 weeks. However, the process of bank liquidation is strictly regulated by law. The Board of the National Bank of Ukraine has decided to revoke the banking license and liquidate the Joint Stock Company "JSCB CONCORD" as of August 1, 2023. Payments started on August 21. The total amount of guaranteed compensation to be paid to the bank's depositors reached UAH 647 million. Claims of the bank's sixth priority creditors (claims of individuals, including individual entrepreneurs who are not related parties of the bank, whose payments or in whose name are blocked) are satisfied upon appropriate identification.
