The Ministry of Reintegration told which categories of IDPs will automatically receive payments for another six months

Starting December 1, payments to IDPs in Ukraine will be automatically extended for six months for certain categories, including the disabled, children and those caring for young or seriously ill children, without the need to submit an additional application.

Starting December 1, payments for internally displaced persons have been extended for some categories of recipients for a second 6-month period without additional application. It is a monthly state aid for living in the amount of 3 thousand hryvnias for people with disabilities and children and 2 thousand hryvnias for all other IDPs. This was reported by the Ministry of Reintegration, according to UNN.

Starting from December 1 of this year, payments to IDPs will be extended to some categories of recipients for a second 6-month period without additional application. This innovation is envisaged by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1226 of November 21, 2023,

Details

It is a monthly state housing allowance of UAH 3 thousand UAH for people with disabilities and children and UAH 2 thousand for all other for all other internally displaced persons.

The respective family allowance will be automatically extended for another six months if:

  • the average monthly total income per recipient does not exceed 4 subsistence minimums for persons who have lost their ability to work;
  •  the family includes persons of working age who care for children under the age of who care for children under the age of 6 (inclusive) or seriously ill children; persons with disabilities persons with disabilities of group I or II; citizens raising three or more children under the age of citizens who are raising three or more children under the age of 18; citizens who care for persons with with disabilities of group I or minor children with disabilities, or persons with disabilities of I or II groups due to a mental disorder, or persons who have reached the age of 80;
  • as well as individuals who provide social services and receive compensation for their provision; students compensation for their provision; students enrolled in full-time or dual students enrolled in full-time or dual form in general secondary, vocational professional higher education, higher education, whose place of residence is not declared/registered in a dormitory;
  •  the family includes an able-bodied person who, during the first 6 months of receiving IDP payments, contributed to their economic independence independence (got a job, started a business as an individual entrepreneur or received a business grant/study voucher, etc.) and whose average monthly income does not does not exceed 3 subsistence minimums for persons who have lost their ability to work.
