Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin met with UN representatives to discuss priorities for cooperation, including the protection of vulnerable groups and the documentation of war crimes committed by the Russian occupiers in Ukraine.

Prosecutor General Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin, at a meeting with representatives of the UN mission, discussed the expansion of partnership in a number of important areas, among which the priority is to strengthen the protection of vulnerable groups. This was reported by UNN with reference to the press service of the of the Prosecutor General's Office.

Prosecutor General Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin met with the UN Resident Coordinator in Denise Brown, UN Resident Coordinator in Ukraine, and Noel Calhoun, Deputy Chief Monitor of the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine. Among our priorities are strengthening the protection of of vulnerable groups and building the institutional capacity of the (...) We also highly appreciate the work of the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry to investigate violations in Ukraine in documenting war crimes

The Prosecutor General also thanked the also thanked for assistance in a number of achievements, including the implementation of of international standards of child-friendly justice; opening of specialized of specialized Barnahus centers; launch of a pilot project to create and and filling in the register of psychologists who will work with children in criminal proceedings.

Separately, Kostin expressed hope for expanding partnerships in the field of return and further rehabilitation and adaptation of forcibly displaced Ukrainian children; release of of Ukrainian civilians held in Russia and the occupied territories, as well as ensuring accountability for these and other crimes of the aggressor.
