Ukraine has received surplus electricity from Poland, with power and gas cut off in several regions due to shelling

At the request of Poland, Ukraine imported 1,200 MWh of electricity from 11:00 to 15:00 on Monday and exported up to 1,645 MWh, and the power supply situation remained under control despite disruptions caused by shelling in several regions.
At Poland's request, Ukraine again accepted surplus electricity, and no shortage is expected. Due to shelling, there were power outages in Sumy, Chernihiv and Kharkiv regions, and problems with gas supply in Sumy, Kharkiv and Mykolaiv regions. "Yesterday, at the request of Poland, electricity was transmitted to the Ukrainian power system from 11:00 to 15:00 in the total amount of 1200 MWh," the statement said.
As indicated, a TPP unit was shut down for emergency short-term repairs, while a CHP unit was reconnected after short-term repairs. "To cover the needs of consumers, reserves of heat and hydro generation are used. Commercial imports and exports of electricity are planned," the ministry said.
"The situation is under control. The system is balanced. No outage schedules are applied," the Ministry of Energy said.
Consequences of shelling
As noted, the shelling caused the disconnection of two 110 kV overhead lines in Sumy region , which cut off power to household consumers and the local CHP plant, which was quickly restored. "There were no disruptions in heat supply. In two hours, household consumers were supplied with power. In addition, due to numerous damages to gas pipelines and houses, almost 1400 subscribers in the border settlement were disconnected from gas supply," the agency said.
As a result of the shelling, the Ministry of Energy also reported that a 110 kV power line in Kharkiv region was disconnected and a substation supplying electricity to residential consumers was de-energized. Gas supply systems of apartment buildings were also damaged. As a result, 150 customers were left without gas supply.
Due to the hostilities, an overhead line in Chernihiv region was disconnected, and 370 consumers in six settlements were cut off from electricity, the ministry added.
As a result of hostile attacks, I have indicated, an underground steel gas pipeline was damaged in Mykolaiv region. This left 16 subscribers without gas supply.
Situation at ZNPP
"The water level in the cooling pond is 15.52 meters. This is enough to meet the needs of the plant," the Ministry of Energy said.
Import and export
For the current day, electricity imports are forecasted at 5751 MWh. Exports are also planned - up to 1645 MWh.
