Ukraine to produce artillery shells under license from Norwegian company

Nammo has signed an agreement on licensed production of 155-mm shells in Ukraine. Norway will provide funding to transfer technology and experience to the Ukrainian partner under the Nansen program.

Thanks to the support of partners, Ukraine will be able to produce Norwegian artillery shells developed by Nammo. This was reported by UNN with reference to the Norwegian government .

It is noted that Nammo has signed an agreement that facilitates the establishment of licensed production of 155-mm artillery shells in Ukraine by a Ukrainian defense company. The ammunition will be used by Ukrainian troops.

Currently, Norway is contributing by providing ammunition from its stockpile and directly from industry. Now Nammo wants to share its designs with Ukraine. This means that Ukrainian troops will be able to receive ammunition faster.”

The government supports this cooperation and has decided to allocate funds to allow Nammo to transfer technology and expertise to its Ukrainian partner. This activity is funded under the Nansen program.
