The Vinnytsia resident paid $3,000 to an online acquaintance who promised to smuggle him to Moldova through the Kuchurhansky estuary, but their plan was thwarted by border guards.

A resident of Vinnytsia paid $3,000 to an Internet acquaintance who promised to smuggle him to Moldova through the Kuchurhansky estuary. The plan was prevented by border guards of the Belgorod-Dniester detachment, UNN reports.

The online game brought the two men so close that one of them even promised to ensure that the other would have unimpeded entry into neighboring Moldova. However, not for free, but for $3000. At night, the leader of the scheme had to ferry his "client," who had previously checked into a hotel near the border, by boat across the Kuchurhanskyi estuary.

According to the SBGS press service, the men became friends while playing online games.

A 26-year-old man offered his 24-year-old Internet acquaintance from Vinnytsia region a ride to Moldova. He wanted $3,000 for organizing the  "hot ticket." The Vinnytsia resident agreed to the terms of the agreement and arrived in one of the villages on the border, where he checked into a hotel.

At nightfall, the organizer of the illegal tourism was supposed to ferry his "client" by boat across the Kuchurhanskyi estuary, but border guards exposed their plan in advance.

Both "comrades" will bear responsibility: the organizer - criminal, the "customer" - administrative.

A report was sent to the National Police regarding the "tour operator" on the detection of signs of a crime under Art. 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine "Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine", and a report was drawn up against the "tour customer" under Part 1 of Art. 204-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses "Illegal crossing or attempt to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine". The case was sent to court.
