A 14-year-old boy was shot with an air rifle during an extracurricular activity at a school in Ivano-Frankivsk region. An investigation is underway, and authorities are calling for measures to prevent such incidents.
A 14-year-old schoolboy was killed during an extracurricular activity at a school in Ivano-Frankivsk region. According to Svitlana Onyshchuk, head of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional administration, the teenager was wounded with an air rifle, UNN reports.
A tragedy has occurred in one of the educational institutions of Nadvirna district - a 14-year-old schoolboy has died. According to preliminary information, during an extracurricular activity, a 9th grade student was shot with an air rifle. The teenager died from the injury before the ambulance arrived
According to her, law enforcement officers were working at the scene to establish all the circumstances of the tragedy.
The head of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional administration expressed condolences to the family of the deceased student.
In addition, Onyshchuk instructed the relevant department to "conduct an internal investigation in the educational institution where the tragedy occurred so that this would never happen again."
