Martyniuk got into a scandal because of her statements about mobilization and men who do not want to fight. After that, Zaluzhnyi stated that "since December 28, 2023, he has no pro bono assistants".
Alla Martyniuk, a freelance adviser to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, got into a scandal because of her statements about mobilization and men who do not want to fight. The woman later said that her words were taken out of context. Commander-in-Chief Valeriy Zaluzhnyi himself has already reacted to the situation, UNN reports.
In an interview with one of the YouTube channels, Martyniuk spoke harshly about men who avoided mobilization and urged mothers not to panic.
"...now I see that if someone is summoned, they are almost all hysterical. They say goodbye to the lives of their sons and so on. I mean, this is wrong. We don't need this hysteria. You need to believe that your son is really a hero, he is the best flower of the nation. We are all going to die anyway. We are not all eternal. I mean, really. We're not all going to live forever, but even if we do, leaving this life with dignity is much better than walking down the street and getting hit by a brick or run over by a car. There are different situations," Martyniuk said.
Her words caused a wave of criticism. So later, the woman recorded an appeal, stating that the words were taken out of context.
"They cut out ... with a wrong interpretation of my statement ... I did not agitate parents to send their children to death. It was meant that we should not think about bad things," Martyniuk said.
Commander-in-Chief Valeriy Zaluzhnyi also reacted to the scandal and added that since December 28, 2023, he has not had any pro bono advisers.
"The freelance aides were not authorized to comment publicly on any issues on behalf of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and what they said was solely their own opinion.
I would also like to inform you that as of December 28, 2023, I have no pro bono assistants," Zaluzhnyi said.
