Zelenskyy speaks to new Polish PM Tusk for the first time: discusses EU summit

Ukrainian President Zelenskyy discussed with new Polish Prime Minister Tusk the strengthening of ties and unity in the EU ahead of a summit on Ukraine's EU accession aspirations. Zelenskyy also invited Tusk to visit Ukraine.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and newly elected Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk have their first phone conversation. Zelenskyy congratulated Tusk on his appointment and on the beginning of a new "page" in bilateral relations. The head of state wrote about this in Telegram, according to UNN.

According to him, on the eve of the European Council meeting, they discussed its future decisions, which, according to the President, "will contribute to the unity of the entire European community."
I heard words of sincere support. We are even stronger when we are together - Ukraine and Poland. I am convinced that with the new government of Poland we will speed up the resolution of all issues of our relations on a mutually beneficial basis
The head of state also said that he had invited Donald Tusk to visit Ukraine at the earliest opportunity.
On the eve of the EU summit, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that a positive decision to start negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU should be made taking into account the implementation of all recommendations. Postponing the decision would mean that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin influenced it.
