A couple of Ukrainian couple tried to smuggle about 100 plastic bags with with gold jewelry, but they were detained. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service, UNN reports.
The couple tried to to hide the jewelry they were carrying to Hungary. However, the excitement got the better of them, which prompted the border guards of the Mukachevo detachment, together with customs officers to conduct an additional inspection of the car. The citizens kept the reasons for their anxiety closer to themselves - in their pockets and on their bodies, they found about 100 plastic bags with gold jewelry. It is clarified that the jewelry was seized in accordance with the established procedure, and the weight and amount of the jewelry are being established. But judging by the photos on the price tags, where you can see jewelry more expensive than 100 and 200 thousand hryvnias, the total cost of jewelry will be equal to several million hryvnias.
