The management of PJSC Centrenergo denied the information disseminated by Supervisory Board member Volodymyr Velychko that the schedules of power outages may return next week. The company emphasized that the determination of schedules is the exclusive competence of Ukrenergo and that Velychko's statement is his personal opinion. UNN reports this with reference to a statement by Centrenergo on Facebook.
Details
“The media published information referring to Volodymyr Velychko, an independent member of our company's Supervisory Board, about possible schedules of power outages.
Andriy Gota, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the company, and CEO Yevhen Harkavyi state that the scheduling is the exclusive competence of NPC Ukrenergo.
Volodymyr Velychko's statement is his personal opinion and does not reflect the company's position!”, Centrenergo said in a statement.
It is noted that Centrenergo's lawyers are currently considering applying to law enforcement agencies with a request to check “the purpose and circumstances that led to the publication of false information during the active phase of the autumn-winter period.
“The situation in the power system is stable. The power engineers of PJSC Centrenergo did everything possible to ensure the operation of the equipment in the autumn-winter period,” noted Centrenergo.
Recall
A member of Centrenergo's supervisory board has warned of a possible return of blackout schedules due to lower temperatures. Additional measures may be needed to balance the power system as early as next week.
