In Kyiv region, a group of people who manufactured and sold counterfeit food products of allegedly well-known Ukrainian and international brands were exposed. The production facilities were concentrated, in particular, on the territory of Yanukovych's former estate in Mezhyhirya. This was reported by the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine, according to UNN.

The dealers mass-produced sweets, coffee, instant noodles, chewing gum and other counterfeit products.
The BES officers conducted searches at warehouses in Kyiv and the region, as well as at the premises of Mezhyhirya, and found automatic packaging and labeling lines, packaging containers with logos of well-known brands, large volumes of raw materials, products without documentary evidence, etc.
As a result, law enforcement officers seized 5 automatic lines, 20 machines for packaging and applying logos, and 6 lines for packaging products, as well as counterfeit products, raw materials, packaging, etc. The total weight of the equipment is 200 tons.
It is noted that the clandestine production in Mezhyhiria used the facilities, including electricity, of the National Park.

Earlier, UNN wrote that law enforcement officers exposed a group of underground businessmen who organized the process of producing counterfeit coffee, spices and other products in the territory of Kyiv, as well as Kyiv, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions. The income from the equipment brought the dealers about one million hryvnias per month.
